SsAM, the Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew & Matthew in downtown Wilmington, Delaware, welcomes you.
Come to God’s Table!
Come, you have much faith, and you who have little, or are questioning faith. Come, you who have been here often, and you who have not been for a long time or ever before. Come, you who have tried to follow and you who have failed. Come to the table, for Christ invites us all to be known, fed, and loved here.

About SsAM
Our church is a nurturing faith community born out of the 1996 consolidation of two downtown churches, one mostly Black, one mostly White. The resulting multi-racial congregation welcomes all people who seek the love of God without regard to ability, age, economic circumstance, ethnic background, family configuration, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, political affiliation, educational achievement, or sense of humor.
Worship services at 8:00 and 10:30am Sundays
Worship services are usually on Sundays at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. plus special services on Ash Wednesday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The regular 10:30 a.m. service is broadcast live and available on-demand afterwards for those who cannot or chose not to attend in person. Also, we offer 16 services of prayer during the week via video. Click here to learn more about worship services at SsAM.
Our Mission Statement (1996)
To be an inclusive Christian community which worships God, follows Christ in all aspects of our lives, and serves the Greater Wilmington area through actions and ministries which promote peace, justice, reconciliation and empowerment for all people.
Our Vision Statement (1996)
