Dear Friends in Christ,
On behalf of the Vestry, we write to you in gratitude for the many ways that your generosity supports SsAM. Your gifts of wealth, works, and wisdom are critical to both SsAM and the wider community, and we cannot be the hands and feet of Christ in the world without them. We are grateful to you for this support.
As a congregation we are in the midst of an incredible moment. As your Rector and Senior Warden, we give thanks to God for guiding us towards this new pastoral relationship that is filled with joy, excitement, and hope. As we reflect on the search process that drew us together, the phrase Rooted in Abundance resonates deeply within our hearts. SsAM has been deeply rooted in the community for generations and we have seen an abundance of grace and love sprout from those roots. Those roots have blessed us with beautiful relationships, and we have shared in the bountiful abundance with our neighbors.
Over the course of our campaign, we will continue to hear about some of the wonderful ministries that are only possible because of the many ways that our members faithfully respond to support our mission. Your time, talent, and treasure are all vital. We are grateful and could not be the church that we are without them.
We also recognize that we are being called to live into our mission in new ways as God opens our hearts to new ideas through this new shared ministry together. We invite you to prayerfully consider how God is calling us to explore this together, and how we might expand our root system to be rooted more deeply and to reach others by our roots spreading out further. Your generosity, rooted in God’s abundant work in our lives, can make that possible.
Thank you for your continued support of our shared mission and ministry.
With an abundance of gratitude,
Father Patrick Burke, Rector and Saundra Johnson, Senior Warden
