First Fridays at 5:30 p.m. starting in the SsAM parking lot
These walks are a public display of our belief that society needs to be more just in terms of race, sex, economics, and more.
We begin at the SsAM parking lot and then walk to Rodney Square. These walk sbegan in response to the murder of George Floyd, but now we are faced with more racially motivated murders than ever before. The recent murders of ten people in Buffalo showed us that things are continuing to escalate. We need to respond! Racial justice is something we feel strongly about! At the end of the walk, people are invited to the Chris White Gallery, at the corner of 7th and N. Shipley Streets, for refreshments and conversation. SsAM is one of several churches that sponsor these walks.
We invite other Wilmington communities of faith to join with us in this public plea for justice.

The Chris White Art Gallery is a non-profit community cultural resource supported in part by the Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew. Located at the corner of 7th and N. Shipley Streets, it usually has receptions on First Fridays, a chance to connect to local art and local artists. Click here to learn more about the Chris White Art Gallery.
