What a year 2020 was! Now we have so much to look forward to in 2021. The COVID vaccine is now available. In two and a half weeks, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be sworn in as the next President and Vice-President of the United States. And, on January 31, our 25th Year Anniversary kicks off with a Zoom event beginning at 3:00 in the afternoon. Please watch for details regarding the January 31 event as well as the schedule for what is planned throughout the coming year.
After a year full of heartache and devastation there is good news on the horizon.
This Sunday we resume our History of Racism: What They Did Not Teach Us in School with Sue Linderman. When we met before Christmas, we decided to take a week so that folks can break into small breakout groups to share with one another their feelings and their experiences that the first three weeks of Sue’s excellent presentation have generated. I hope you will join this Sunday, January 3 at 1:00 p.m. so we can learn from and get to know one another better. The breakout groups will meet for about half an hour and then we will have an open discussion as a big group. The Zoom information was in the email blast to members sent out on Thursday, December 31. If you cannot find that Zoom info, text or call Danny Schweers at 302 475-0998.
On Sunday, January 10, Sue will resume the schedule of meetings and we will conclude on January 24. Please come this week even if you have not attended any of the sessions. You are most welcome to join.
Also, we continue with our weekly zoom coffee hour at 11:15 a.m. Click here to learn more.
Peace and Happy New Year!
