
“Why isn’t peace news? Where are the cameras when peace breaks out? Where are the reporters when peace is sustained?” So asked Gloria Hampton on Sunday, October 30, when members of the 10:30 a.m. congregation were asked to talk about making peace and being peaceful often in spite of our anxieties and temperaments, our situations and history.
Gloria joined SsAM in 2015. She currently serves as a reader of scripture. She moved to Wilmington after 25 years teaching secondary school students in Philadelphia. While in that city, she got to know Lloyd and D-L Casson, and was delighted to find them here at SsAM.
