SsAM NEEDS YOU!
OUR MINISTRIES – HOW YOU CAN VOLUNTEER

Acolyte – assists during the liturgy as servers, torchbearers, candle lighters and crucifers. Training is provided.
Altar Guild – prepares the Altar for all liturgies including weddings, baptisms, and funerals. This includes maintenance of the altar, silver, linens, and candles. Training is provided.
Community Advocacy – provides a central clearinghouse for all of SsAM’s efforts in advocacy, outreach, and funding; and informs SsAM members of current and emerging community issues and needs.
Daily Office –leads the brief virtual Morning Prayer, Noonday Prayer, Evening Prayer and Compline worship services. Training is provided.
Environmental Justice – through its community partner, (Delaware Concerned Residents for Environmental Justice – DCR4EJ), advocates and educates on issues of environmental justice.
Episcopal Church Women (ECW) –supports community outreach efforts and encourages participation in the National United Thank Offering (UTO) effort. Sponsors several fund-raising activities throughout the year. ALL are welcome.
Lectors/Readers –leads the scripture reading and prayers of the people for Sunday liturgy and Evensong. Training is provided.
Office Assistants – trained as financial counters (Sundays, weekly); also provides assistance with mailings and office duties such as maintaining the member database; many special projects throughout the year.
Ushers Ministry – greets and assists all who come for worship on Sunday and other services. Training is provided.
