In July, 2021, we congratulated Cynthia Primo Martin on the publication of her book, Handbook for Nonprofit Leadership: Recruiting, Training, and Engaging Trustees of Color.
Her publisher claims the book “should be required reading for all Boards of Directors regardless of their size or current board composition.”
The book is especially strong in its advocacy of diversity. Boards, Cynthia says, must reflect the community in which they operate. Achieving the necessary diversity is no easy task.
