We gather in the auditorium after the 10:30 a.m. service for fellowship, coffee, tea, and snacks. Once every two months, we meet at the Chris White Gallery instead of the auditorium.
You are invited to host Coffee Hour once a month.
Your turn at Coffee Hour depends on the first letter of your last name. There are four groups. When there is a fifth Sunday in a month, the SsAM Vestry and the Episcopal Church Women host coffee hour. Please check the Friday eBlast announcements for the Coffee Hour schedule. Click here to use the Contact Us form on this website to get your name on the list for the Friday eBlasts.

Coffee Hour in the Gallery, Sunday, August 16, Noon to 1pm.
SsAM provides the coffee, tea, and refreshments; the gallery provides space to gather, talk, and enjoy local art. The gallery is at the other end of the block from SsAM, at 701 N. Shipley Street. How does the coffee hour come together?
Organized by the ECW, our coffee hour depends on SsAM members to make it happen. Supporting coffee hour at SsAM is more than baking or shopping for items to eat. There are opportunities for you to help before, during and after coffee hour.
Before Coffee Hour:
Coffee hour begins in the kitchen before the service. Based on the alphabetical and group listing below, SsAM members donate snacks (fruit, crackers, cheese, sweets) to be shared and help with set up , hosting, and clean up. There are serving trays, doilies and serving tongs and spoons/forks so you can make sure items are plated and ready for the gathering.
Plan on coordinating with Rob (or Rudd), our Sunday Porter, who prepares the coffee and tea for coffee hour, sets up the tables with tablecloths, and brings out the cups, plates etc. for the food and beverages.
Just before coffee hour (approximately 11:45 a.m.):
If needed, please plate the items on the food tables and fill the pitchers with ice water. Don’t forget to plate (and label) the gluten free items separately.
During coffee hour:
Please monitor the tables for what needs to be re-stocked. Please greet any newcomers or visitors in support of the fellowship part of coffee hour.
After coffee hour:
Please remove all platters and beverage items. Any unused food should be returned to those who donated it or, if appropriate, saved for the hospitality ministry during the week. Please coordinate with the Sunday Porter to see if tablecloths should be removed. Platters, dishes and utensils should be washed, dried and stored.
