The Katherine Esterly Organ was installed in the fall of 2016. We thank all of you who have helped to make this dream become a reality at that time. Photos: The Dedication of the Katherine Esterly Organ was Sunday, February 19, 2017.
Our kitchen renovations are complete! Volunteers use the James Thomas kitchen to feed a hundred hungry people breakfast on Sunday mornings. It also gets used after services every Sunday for coffee hour, and is used on many other occasions, such as ArtSlam. Thanks to those who donated to our capital campaign!
As of June 1, 2016, there has been $1,345,354 collected for our Sharing Our Blessings capital campaign in donations and pledges. The communities of The Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew and the greater Wilmington area have been very generous to our campaign. The generosity of these communities is amazing, and has allowed us to complete The James Thomas Kitchen, to remain on track with our payments to the Quimby Pipe Organs Company, and to make our payments toward the repayment of our diocese loan, plus interest to date, as well as to pay other costs of the campaign as they arise. We have also raised $79,886 through the Sponsor a Pipe Campaign. We encourage you to consider sponsoring a pipe in memory of a loved one or in celebration of an event.
