A

received his undergraduate degree at Calvin

attended the Calvin Theological Seminary.
Peter met his wife, Tona, while serving
an internship in New York City in Harlem,

and in Grand Rapids.
Peter was ordained in the Episcopal faith
after doing graduate work at Seabury Western
Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois;
became the Chaplain at Northern Illinois
University; and, later, the Assistant Dean.
Peter's ministry then took him back to New
York State where he served as Archdeacon
of the Diocese of Western New York in Buffalo,
at the same time serving as Executive Director
of Episcopal Charities in Western New York.
He then served as Headmaster of Calasanctius
Preparatory School, a K-12 school for gifted
children in Buffalo, and later as Rector
of St. John the Baptist in Dunkirk, New York.
In 1988, Peter moved to
Delaware to become the Rector of Grace Episcopal
in Wilmington for ten years. Since his retirement,
he has served as Canon Theologian at the
Cathedral Church of St. John and now serves
as an Interim Rector at The Episcopal Church
of Saints Andrew and Matthew.
In the Wilmington area, Peter has performed
with the Ardensingers and has performed solo
and ensemble roles in twelve productions
with OperaDelaware. He has also sung with
a number of choral groups in the area including

HildaMan Chorale, the Cathedral Choir at
St. John's Cathedral, and the Adult Choir at SsAM.
For many years, Peter has been a gourmet
