Monthly Walks for Justice and Peace

Monthly Walks for Justice and Peace in Wilmington, Delaware

First Fridays at 5:30 p.m.
Next walk is Friday, March 5!

Since June 19, 2020, SsAM and other churches have been sponsoring silent Walks for Justice and Peace in downtown Wilmington, Delaware. These prayerful pilgrimages are hosted collaboratively with First & Central Presbyterian Church.

We gather in front of the steps of First & Central (10th and Market) for a brief time of reflection and prayer, then we walk silently to the parking lot of Saints Andrew and Matthew for concluding remarks and prayer.

While the pandemic rages, we practice social distancing and all participants were required to wear masks. We invite other Wilmington communities of faith to join with us in this public plea for justice and peace. Many other churches have been joining us, including Westminster Presbyterian and Hanover Presbyterian.

If you have any questions about this event, click here to contact us.
