Chris White served as our Senior Warden in 2006 and was a long-time advocate for the development of Shipley Lofts. He is suddenly gone, the victim of a hit-and-run driver who struck Chris while he was standing in front of our church on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. His family and friends are in our prayers, as is the troubled man who killed him.
A funeral service was held at our church on Friday, April 30, 2:30 p.m.

Shipley Lofts was dedicated Friday, April 23, at 701 W. Shipley St. in downtown Wilmington. Chris's brother, George, took his place at the ceremony.
Chris was best known as the executive director of the Community Legal Aid Society. He was 48 years old.
