Saints Andrew and Matthew Episcopal Church, Wilmington, Delaware

Lucia Robinson,
Parish Administrator

Lucia Robinson was born and raised in New York City. Aspiring to become a classical pianist, Lucia attended Queens College where she studied music theory, composition and voice. While in school she performed extensively with the Queens College Choral Society, including a concert at Carnegie Hall under the baton of John Castellini.

Lucia has spent much of her professional life in advertising and publishing, and had the opportunity to work in the UK for 18 months. She has worked for several advertising agencies, including Compton Advertising, Tatham Laird and Kudner Advertising, and Chalk, Nissen and Hanft Advertising, specializing in new business acquisitions.

After moving into publishing, Lucia worked for such notable publications as The New York Amsterdam News, eventually becoming General Manager for the largest African-American weekly newspaper in the world. She then moved to New York Magazine/The Village Voice and was the New York Sales Manager during its acquisition of Cue Magazine.

Lucia developed an interest in healthcare publishing, and moved to Florida to publish the first healthcare business newspaper for physicians, The South Florida Medical Review. After the business was sold, she joined a large social service agency in South Florida.

Lucia moved to Delaware in 2004 to be near her daughter and son-in-law, both of whom work for AstraZeneca. She came to The Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew in April of 2004.
