Financial Town Hall, January 8, 2017

Treasurer Bill Kauffman presents the proposed budget for 2017.

A proposed operating budget for 2017 was presented to members on a snow-bound, freezing Sunday, January 8, 2017, in the Auditorium after the 8:00 a.m. services and after the 10:30 a.m. service. Fr. David and Bill Kauffman, Treasurer, made the presentation. Afterwards, members moved from table to table to discuss Music, Youth and Young Families, and Member Development with leaders of those ministries.

Several special organ concerts are planned to show off our new pipes. The cost of these concerts will be offset by donations.

Youth and Young Families will soon create a 20th anniversary video by interviewing selected members with long memories.

Member Development plans to host an Open House in the spring of 2017 to better connect with the neighborhood, with the city, and beyond.

The proposed budget anticipates $695,648 in income and $784,507 in expenses, for a deficit of $88,859. Rather than cut existing programs, members will be asked to increase the pledges they have made for 2017 to cover most of the deficit.
